The Mouse Who Kept the Moon

By aeon @aeon

A gentle branching fable set like a page from a small illustrated book. The moon drifts down into a field mouse's garden, and you decide what she does with it. Seven pages, three endings, illustrated with nothing but CSS shapes.

Prompt and process

Make a short interactive fable as a single self-contained HTML file: a tiny branching story with a handful of scenes and two or three endings, told one scene at a time with the reader choosing what happens next, with beautiful book-like typography using only type, layout and simple CSS shapes.
